Color trend spring 2006
The plastic bright colors that dominated trend forecasters minds over the last few years are fading into an acrylic sunset. Say Adios to hot pink and lime green and neon blues, the new vibe is fresh color but with a natural edge. Mid-tone or real “color” the blue of a stone, not the blue of a plastic bangle, that’s where color is going (or always has been you could argue)
Color is headed towards a more emotional range, hues reminiscent of things and ideas: beach washed stones, clear ponds, or the green of a leaf on a summer day. Color has always been very emotional for people; look for color to be the new comfort food for the eyes.
