My bead and Button collection
At a very early age I started a bead and button collection- I guess I was attracted by all those shiny stones and mother of pearl buttons. I have now learnt as an adult that bead and button collections are all the rage, apparently there is even a magazine called Bead and Button. What's next a musical called bead and button.
But I digress; this is about my bead and button collection. I have over five hundred glass jars filled with assorted types of beads and buttons. About three hundred of the jars are filled with buttons with the other two hundred or so filled with beads. Over the years, I have put up a series of shelves in front of my entire main floor windows, these shelves are lined with my bead and button collection jars. On a beautiful sunny day, the light streams through the jars holding my precious bead and button collection. The effect is like being in a small chapel. There is a second real advantage to storing my bead and button collection on these shelves; they act as a deterrent to anyone trying to gain access to my home. Imagine the noise my jars containing my precious bead and button collections would make as they hit the floor!!! Much better than a guard dog.
